Our Masters
Samantha Kardaras is a native of Wisconsin and brings over 10 years of skincare experience. Trained as a Medical Esthetician by the prestigious Aveda Institute of Beauty and Wellness, Samantha has continued her education in clinical esthetic practices post and pre-op, and Advanced Aveda training using the latest techniques and products to promote wellness. During her career, Samantha has worked for some of the most progressive and professional spas in the Midwest and has made a name for herself in Chicago’s North Shore spa’s by creating services customized for each client. Applying her vast knowledge of corrective and preventative procedures with an amazing ability to instantly relax and comfort her cliental, Samantha constantly aims to promote a genuine sense of wellbeing to every client. Samantha recently fulfilled her life long dream of one day owning her own Salon and Spa when she opened Chroma.
Nahrain Khaya is Chroma’s nail technician and threading expert. She has been crafting her art of nail care for over 10 years. Long lasting manicures and pedicures are her specialty. Nahrain loves to indulge her clients with additional pampering treatments including decadent spa pedicures, Gel No-Chip manicures, Aveda’s Caribbean therapy foot facial, and luxurious paraffin wax treatments. Nahrain offers special prices for wedding parties as well.
Nadia Iskander graduated from Pivot Point Cosmetology School in 2001. She went on to receive advanced training from the AVEDA Institute in Chicago. Keeping up with the latest trends, Nadia excels in giving each client their own individualized look, and is a true artist when it comes to hair color and cut. Her specialty includes men’s hair cuts and ethnic hair.
Angelene O'Brien acquired her cosmetology training from Lorain’s Academy in St. Petersburg Florida in 1999. Returning to her hometown of Chicago, Angelene gained experience working in high end salons and with various product lines. Continuing education has kept Angelene at the forefront of new techniques and the latest trends. She specializes in customized color and cut for each of her guests as well as restoring damaged hair to a healthier state. Angelene is versed in a broad spectrum of types of hair, from fine hair to thick and curly.
Lena has been practicing massage since 1996, beginning her massage career with Aveda. She is a lifelong student in the fields of massage therapy and science. She has an eclectic palette of techniques including pregnancy massage (pre and post natal), manual lymphatic decongestive therapies, fascia specific techniques and approaches targeting chronic and acute muscular imbalances. She has trained colleagues and new students in the areas of massage, bodywork treatments and the Aveda philosophy. She is certified in Vodder MLD, is nationally certified and a member of the AMTA. Lena is proud to return to the Aveda network and welcomes guests, returning and new, to the Chroma SalonSpa in Lincolnwood.
Ashley Pasquale is Chroma’s Hair Extension specialist. Whether enhancing or changing her client’s looks, Ashley exemplifies true artistry. Her commitment to perfecting her art through continuing education has allowed Ashley to expand her creativity and has made her a versatile Hair Designer. Ashley has a passion for creating a unique individual look for her clients as well as magnifying their beauty. She made the cover of the Niles Herald-Spectator while in Cosmetology School. She is a unique tread setter with services including: Hair Color, Hair Designs, and the La Braziliana hair treatment.
